African champions Senegal will face Colombia, Belarus and Japan in Group C at the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup UAE 2024™.

Africa's other representative at the tournament Egypt, who are debutants, will have hosts United Arab Emirates, Italy and USA to contend with in Group A.

This comes after the draw for the competition to be played in the UAE was held no Friday as Argentina, IR Iran, Spain and Tahiti will form a highly-competitive Group B.

Titans Brazil and Portugal have been drawn together in Group D in what is expected to be another exciting group.

IR Iran came third at their last appearance at the global finals, and thrashed Japan 6-0 in the AFC Beach Soccer Asian Cup final in March.

Tahiti finished runners-up twice, while Spain have one silver medal to their name.

“Nothing is easy. I think Senegal and Brazil have the toughest groups. It’s a World Cup, you have to take everything seriously. We lost in the semi-finals in 2021. We will try to do our best to put on a good showing this time.” - Mamadou Diallo, Senegal coach
